Parking Etiquette

PARKING ETIQUETTE

Each residence has a garage and a driveway, which are intended to be the primary parking spaces used by its owners (tenants). Other parking is considered “common property” and is intended to be used by guests for the limited time when they are visiting. When vehicles are left in those common spaces over long periods or used instead of primary parking, other residents and their guests are unable to park.

Parking at the entrance to Springwood and on Summerwood is difficult because there are many units and few extra spaces. If you have more vehicles than your garage and driveway can accommodate, there is overflow parking off 11th Street across from the tennis courts. Vehicles should not be left in any common property parking for extended lengths of time (more than 5 days) without being moved.

The common property parking should fluctuate with the comings and goings of residents and their guests. No resident should be taking up the same parking space every day and certainly not claiming it as their own. The Board of Directors has revised the Enforcement Resolution to better handle this situation.

Towing will occur with any unknown, abandoned vehicle left on the common property.
