Creek area cleanup work completed

Some cleanup work has been completed in the Shadowood Greenways common areas near the creek.

Earlier in the year, the Shadowood Board of Directors consulted with the Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District and the city of McMinnville on how to properly gain control of the invasive species and clear up the common area along the creek, which has been neglected for many years.

This first step completes phase one of four phases to clean up the creek area. The next three phases will be scheduled as the budget permits.

Solitude Landscaping, Shadowood’s contracted landscaping firm, will also be scheduled in the next couple of weeks to treat the invasive species in the newly cleared area and elsewhere. According to Shadowood Landscape Committee Chair Dan Hickox, Solitude is licensed and approved by the state of Oregon for all appropriate treatments.

“Your HOA Board is working hard to continually improve and maintain Shadowood,” Hickox said.
